AP Fire Consultancy awarded contract by Rayners

AP Fire Consultancy has been awarded a £250,000 contract for risk assessments of property managed by Rayners.  Additionally the contract will include work by The Andrews Partnership, our sister company who are quantity surveyors and who will cost the remedial works identified by the risk assessments.

 

The properties managed by Rayners are situated throughout the UK, including the Isle of Wight.

 

New Appointment

On 1 May 2007, Melody Tully will be joining AP Health & Safety Management as a Health & Safety Consultant, based at Bracknell.

AP Fire Consultancy goes from strength to strength

AP Fire Consultancy has been commissioned by the St. Johns Shopping Centre, Perth, to undertake a fire risk review of the shopping malls. New Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM Regulations)

The new CDM Regulations will come into effect on 6 April 2007, leading to significant changes in clients' and designers' duties when carrying out construction work.  They raise both the CDM Regulations 1994 and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 and bring them together under a single regulatory umbrella.  They are supported by an Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) which provides guidance on use and the concept of 'competence' of duty holders, which is a key issue in the new legislation.  Full story..

Revised Asbestos Regulations to come into force on 13 November 2006

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 came into force on 13 November 2006. The revised regulations strengthen overall worker protection by reducing exposure limits and introducing mandatory training for work with asbestos.
