AP Health & Safety acquire Constructionline Registration
AP Health & Safety have successfully gained Constructionline Registration. Constructionline is the UK's register of pre-qualified local and national construction and construction-related contractors and consultants. Owned and endorsed by the DTI, Constructionline is a contributor to the Rethinking Construction initiative. Constructionline gather and assess pre-qualification information on behalf of public and private sector procurers and provide them with access to over 12,500 fully accredited suppliers free of charge.

New Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM Regulations)
The new CDM Regulations will come into effect on 6 April 2007, leading to significant changes in clients' and designers' duties when carrying out construction work. They raise both the CDM Regulations 1994 and the Construction (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1996 and bring them together under a single regulatory umbrella. They are supported by an Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) which provides guidance on use and the concept of 'competence' of duty holders, which is a key issue in the new legislation. Full story..
